Research Center
The Research Center is a resource for students and parents alike!
Lake Country students are great researchers, so we call our facility that functions as a library the Research Center (RC) to emphasize its place in the school. It has over nine thousand books, magazines, pamphlets, audiotapes, videos and DVDs, and offers students access to computer programs, the Internet, and audio-visual programs and equipment.
In addition to student resources, the Research Center offers a lending library of Montessori and other parenting books for adults. Recommended reading lists on various topics are available. A story time for children 18 months to 3 years of age is also offered once a week. Northern Lights, the school’s literary magazine, is published each year and is a showcase for the children’s artwork, essays, poetry and stories. Back issues of Northern Lights may be borrowed from the Research Center.
