Our Admissions Process for a COVID Year
School Tours – Wednesdays (evenings by special arrangement)
Beginning in mid-October, we host private tours for prospective parents (without their children) by appointment. Parents tour at all levels of the school and participate in a question and answer session with staff. This meeting is an informal, valuable, and required opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Lake Country School. View Urban and Land School slideshows and videos here.
Attend Get to Know Montessori with Prospective Parents
A virtual event held on Thursday, November 5 from 7:00-9:00pm for prospective parents to learn about Lake Country School and Montessori education.
Complete application for admission and submit an application fee
The admissions application deadline for first round consideration is February 1. Applications received after February 1 are considered and dependent on availability. Applicants for tuition assistance are not required to submit the application fee and may not include the fee when submiting the online application.
Complete tuition assistance application and submit with fee
Complete the SSS's Parent’s Financial Statement. Print a copy of your most recent IRS 1040 and mail to the Lake Country School Business Manager by 5pm, March 1. Late tuition assistance applications will be considered, dependent on funding. There is not a fee waiver for the SSS's PFS application.

Record Release and Teacher Recommendation
Upon completion of the application, parents of candidates may access the required release form and a student recommendation form to sign and deliver to their child's current school from links provided on the LCS website. This authorizes your child's present school to send LCS a copy of your child's school records and a teacher to submit a confidential recommendation. Click here for the records release form. Receive a decision from Lake Country School
Parents will be contacted regarding an admission decision by April 10. If a position is offered to your child at this time, a nonrefundable $500 tuition deposit will be due. Upon receipt of a tuition deposit, we will hold a place for your child in our program and you will be contractually obligated for the year's tuition.
If a position is not offered to your child but you wish to be considered for the following year, a new application must be initiated by the parent. The application fee is waived.
Opt out of wait group
Applicants not admitted will be automatically placed in the wait group only for the year applied. If you do not wish to be placed in our wait group, please notify the Admissions Office.
